The King’s Academy began in a rented church building in the Belvedere Baptist Church on Cherry Road in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1970. The student body, at that time, comprised of 196 students from junior kindergarten through grade eleven. From 1971 to 2005, the academy enjoyed tremendous growth on its twenty-acre campus located on Cherry Road. In 2001, the Palm Beach County Airport Authority purchased the Cherry Road campus. In 2005, the Lord blessed The King’s Academy with a new campus on the northeast corner of Belvedere Road and Sansbury’s Way. The King’s Academy opened its doors to the current 65-acre campus in August 2005.
The King's Academy opened its first satellite preschool in 2008 in a rented church building. The preschool was established as an extension to The King's Academy junior kindergarten through twelfth grade program. The King's Academy Preschool is a direct predecessor to TKA's elementary program. Its developmentally designed program prepares young children for an excellent start in elementary school and in life. There are currently three preschool locations to serve your families' needs.
